BREXIT: PROFEL PAPER "CONCERNS FOR THE EUROPEAN FRUIT AND VEGETABLE PROCESSING SECTOR"
On 30 June 2020, PROFEL sent a position paper on Brexit to the European Commission to voice the sector's concern over the potential impact of the UK Global Tariff on EU food and drink exports in case of no-deal BREXIT. The UK Global Tariff will replace the EU’s Common External Tariff on 1 January 2021 at the end of the Transitional Period, and will apply to the countries that do not have a specific trade arrangement with the UK.
