Reconfirmation of Profel's Presidency
At its General Assembly end of June 2013 in Madrid, Spain, PROFEL re-elected Mr. Jean-Bernard Bonduelle as its President for the coming 2 years. Mr. Jean-Bernard Bonduelle is Director External Relations of the Bonduelle Group and acting President of the French inter-professional organisation of vegetable processors and producers UNILET. Mr. Costas Apostolou from the Greek Fruit canners E.K.E. remains Vice-President for the coming year.
Susanne Meyer, the current secretary general of PROFEL will be succeeded as from 2 July 2013 onwards by Aline Rutsaert from AGEP Association Management where she has represented a number of associations including the European tomato processing association, OEIT and EUROTHON the European Tropical Tuna Association.

PROFEL is the European Association of fruit and vegetable processing industries: canned vegetables, frozen vegetables, dehydrated vegetables, jams and fruit preserves, canned fruit and compotes. PROFEL is representing over 500 companies in 15 EU countries. Founded in 1959 - coinciding with the beginning of the European Economic Community - , the main goals of the association are:
- to promote common interests,
- represent the industry at EU level and the institutions,
- keep members informed about EU legislation and main trends in the European and international market,
- and to provide a platform of exchange for the different sectors.
